ABOUT
Hoffell is about 19 kilometers from Hofn in Hornafjordur and about 3 kilometers from Road number 1. Hoffell is surrounded by spectacular nature which displays in great adversity, from a huge flat open space to steep mountains, or from an ice cold glacier water to applied geothermal heat.
But Hoffell is not just about the beautiful and special nature, we also offer you accommodation in a charming old renovated houses.
The house is only 3 kilometers from Hoffellsjökull (Hoffells glacier), which is a part of Vatnajökull which is one of the most popular tourist attractions in the country. From there we have many and exciting walkways where everybody should be able to find something suitable for themselves.
ACCOMMODATION
In Hoffell Guesthouse we have rooms in three different houses. In one of the house wich is a remodeled house on two floors. There we have eight rooms, single -, double/twin – and triple rooms. On the second floor is one bathroom and on the first floor there are two bathrooms.
The second house was opened in the end of July 2014. That house is also remodeled, from a barn and a sheepcote to a beautiful accommodatio. There are eight new rooms, all with private bathrooms. The rooms are on the first floor of the old barn, four of them with a fantastic glacier view and the other foure with a beautiful mountain view. On the ground floor of the barn and in the sheepcote is the reception, showroom and a dining area. From that area is spectacular view of the glacier and the mountains.
The third and the final house, wich is also remodeled, from a cowshed to a beautiful accommodation. There are five large rooms, all with private bathroom, four of them with a spectacular view of the glacier. The rooms are double/twin and triple.
We offer our guests usage of five geothermal hot tubs.
Our guests (that are staying in the accommodation) can use it free of charge.
The hot tubs are also open for public and the price is 2000 ISK pr. person.
